Dr. David Radziercz, Pittsburgh Chiropractor

When I was 10 years old, I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up… an archaeologist!

Thanks to Harrison Ford’s portrayal of Indiana Jones, the thought of being a treasure-hunting, adventure-seeking archaeologist truly caught my attention.

Fast forward to age 17, I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up… a football player!

I thought, “Hey, I’m pretty good at this football thing!  Why not me?”  Upon entering college, I quickly found out “why not me” while participating on the scout team for the University of Central Florida.

At 5’ 11”, the idea of being an NFL lineman was quickly replaced with, “what am I really going to do with my life?”

I knew what I didn’t want to do: math, computers, or be a medical doctor, not that I wasn’t good at or think I couldn’t excel at these things.  They just didn’t interest me.
In high school, one of my favorite subjects was chemistry.  It was a blend of science and math that I excelled in.  I chose my degree in Molecular and Microbiology because I thought I wanted to be a pharmacist.  I worked as a pharmacy technician for 3 ½ years, and while I enjoyed the people I worked with and the customers who came in regularly, I was bored with the routine and did not agree with the lifestyle choice of treating every symptom with a drug.

It was that experience that put me on a quest to find a career that I could be passionate about.

That career turned out to be chiropractic!

Prior to college, I had never been to a chiropractor; I never really had a “reason” to go to one.  When I sat down and talked with a local chiropractor in Orlando, FL, he recommended a book to me that completely changed my perception of health and healing.  The book talked about things that I already knew: anatomy of the heart, lungs, and digestive system, but it also talked about how the brain and spinal cord (nervous system) controlled and coordinated all the functions of these other systems.  And, if the nervous system was not functioning properly, the other systems of the body couldn’t function properly either.  “Wow,” I thought.  If there was something out there that could make me better, make me more super in a natural way, I WANTED IT.  That turned out to be my “reason” for going.  Immediately, I made a phone call to that local chiropractor and scheduled my first appointment.

I knew then, as I know now, that in order to live a truly healthy, fully expressed life, I needed to make sure my nervous system was functioning at 100%!

And I wanted other people to experience this “aha moment” as well!

Dr. Radziercz’s Professional Bio

David Radziercz, Doctor of Chiropractic and co-director of Pittsburgh Upper Cervical Chiropractic, PLLC, first became passionate about health and the human body while studying in college.  After taking courses in anatomy, physiology, and immunology, he learned to appreciate the complexity of the human body and how it was designed to be healthy.  He also studied the importance of diet and exercise in maintaining a healthy body but always felt like there was a missing piece to the puzzle.  After connecting with a local chiropractor and a group of pre-chiropractic students on campus, he began learning more about chiropractic and how it can help people live better, healthier lives.  He quickly discovered that chiropractic was the missing puzzle piece he had been looking for.
After graduating with honors and receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida, Dr. Radziercz went on to graduate with honors and receive his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA in March 2008.  Throughout his education, he was active in extracurricular clubs and activities, including completing a post-doctorate advanced level certification in Knee Chest Upper Cervical Specific (KCUCS).  The philosophy, science, and art behind upper cervical chiropractic, along with his first-hand experience as a patient, confirmed his decision to practice specific upper cervical chiropractic.  Dr. Radziercz is professionally licensed by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the State of Pennsylvania, and he has more than twenty years experience working in health, wellness, and fitness.  Dr. Radziercz, originally from Inverness, FL, now lives north of Pittsburgh with his wife, Dr. Martina Carlini, their seven-year-old son Agostino, five-year-old daughter Natalia, one-year-old daughter Giovanna, and ten-year-old German Shepherd/Golden Retriever Luna.
